Norwegian by birth, Monica Plewes is the owner and director of CORE Studio.
After more than a decade in the fitness industry, Monica turned to yoga for stress-relief and to pilates looking for a non-impact method of exercising an injured body. She discovered a practice that satisfied her in a way that she not had experienced during her background as a fitness trainer or competitive athlete, and she took the leap from more traditional fitness to mind body practices.
Monica holds certifications in functional fitness and sports movement therapy, and received her Stott Pilates and Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga training after moving to Toronto to live with her husband. She works with a wide range of students; from rehab clients to professional athletes.
