I was drawn to the beauty of movement at a young age and pursued this passion for movement through dance. I discovered yoga as a physical therapy practice while dancing professionally. It changed my life. As a modern dancer and teacher with The Canadian Children's Dance Theater and other dance programs throughout the city, I wanted to challenge and stretch my body and ashtanga yoga was a perfect fit.
I was invited to participate in the Downward Dog Yoga Teacher Training in 2005 and have since had the opportunity to teach vinyasa, power and ashtanga yoga in many studios in Toronto, as well as in Costa Rica, Thailand and Montreal. I also had the pleasure of being a yoga ambassador for Lululemon Athletica. I am now happily back in Toronto, teaching at Core Studio on Queen St. West.
After completing Stott Pilates and The Pilates Process training, i now teach everything from mat and reformer pilates classes of all levels as well as
fusion classes incorporating both yoga and pilates techniques. My classes are charged with energy, creativity, music and flow.
I am thrilled to be teaching both yoga and pilates and sharing my love
of movement with so many wonderful students!
Outside of the Yoga and Pilates world i am honored to be an artist with
Shoppgirls, an all Canadian art collective, and i continue to participate in art shows through out Toronto. Living abroad in Florence Italy and graduating from Ontario College of Art and Design, inspired the young artist in me. As i currently pursue my personal art practice, i am also a working art therapist, involved in a program designed for elderly patients who suffer from both substance abuse and mental challenges.
Whether through dance or physical movement, art or sharing, I feel privileged to make just a small difference in so many students lives.
Life and all its splendor, if only we could open our arms and minds
enough to take it all in. . . . . . .
